Riverton Restorations: A Custom Showroom Site for Pre-Owned Fine Pianos

Case Study ·

Restored Steinway grand piano in the Riverton Restorations Lehi showroom

A piano restoration studio doesn't need a generic music-store theme. It needs a showroom: quiet enough for collectors, clear enough for buyers comparing a Pre-Owned Steinway to new, and structured so every instrument can carry its own story.

That's what rivertonrestorations.com is for — and why it couldn't come from a template.

The brief

Riverton Restorations (an extension of Riverton Music, Est. 1968) rebuilds distinguished instruments — Steinway, Baldwin, Bösendorfer, Bechstein, and kindred makers — for collectors, artists, and serious home rooms. The site had to feel like the studio: refined, appointment-first, and honest about what each piano is.

Buyers aren't browsing "products." They're weighing year, size, finish, condition, restoration details, and how the price compares to new. Miss any of that and trust evaporates.

Why a template wouldn't work

Off-the-shelf retail themes assume SKUs, carts, and category grids. A restoration studio needs:

Same "inventory site" category; completely different information architecture.

The point

This site fits a restoration studio — not a generic music store. That's the Yippley standard: custom code around the client's work, never a recycled theme.
